Sun Yukun

Born in Jiangsu, China in 1985, Jak Sun Graduated from Jiangsu Normal University. Now based in Beijing, China. 

Sun Yukun‘s works use the material of spray paint from urban street culture as a
medium to fuse the sense of scene of easel painting and the fine details, which is distinguished by the texture, and the delicate balance between the hardness
and fragility of the portrayed objects. The texture of spray paint is applied to the
canvas, which gives a different hazy look from traditional easel painting. At the
same time, the content of his works focuses on the narrative tension between
dynamics and stasis. In the specific scenes he sets up, the static objects always
express subtle emotions through movement, making the viewer feel like looking
at a sculpture when viewing Sun's works to capture its mysterious meaning.
