Born in Sichuan, China in 1974, he graduated from the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts in 1997.

Lin Tianlu's works mostly consist of single or paired objects as the main creative content. In his unique visual language, he adds delicate depictions of touch and texture, and is known for his rich brushstroke levels and color combinations. His works are often based on subtle moments in life, making the pictures a lively emotional arena. The images he creates and the narrative relationships between them also give the audience multiple imaginative spaces.
